WRAT presents Theory of a Deadman: Unplugged with special guests Saint Asonia and Cory Marks at The Basie

(RED BANK, NJ) -- WRAT presents Theory of a Deadman: Unplugged with special guests Saint Asonia and Cory Marks on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Count Basie Center for the Arts. Showtime is 7:30pm.

With sky-high hooks, riffs as thick as a 2×4, rumbling grooves, and a razor-sharp sense of humor, Theory Of A Deadman) have quietly persisted as an unapologetic, unbreakable, and undeniable hard rock force with major multiplatinum hits and countless sold out shows in each of the past two decades.

Jamming together in basements throughout high school, the band burst out of their small hometown of North Delta, British Columbia with the self-titled, Theory of a Deadman, during 2002. In addition to the double-platinum breakthrough album Scars & Souvenirs [2008] and gold-certified The Truth Is... [2011], they have notched a procession of hits, including the gold-certified “All Or Nothing,” “Bitch Came Back,” and “Lowlife,” platinum-certified “Angel,” “Hate My Life,” and “Not Meant To Be,” double-platinum “Bad Girlfriend,” and triple-platinum “RX (Medicate).” As the biggest smash of their career this far, the latter marked their third #1 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart and garnered a nomination for “Rock Song of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Tickets range from $29.50 - $79.50 and are available for purchase online starting Friday, July 19 at 10:00am.  Count Basie Center for the Arts is located at 99 Monmouth Street in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Saint Asonia is a Canadian-American supergroup consisting of Adam Gontier (leave vocals and rhythm guitar), Mike Mushok (lead guitar), Cale Gontier (bass and backing vocals), and Cody Watkins (drumms and percussion).

Cory Marks can sometimes feel like an outsider, a North Bay, Ontario native, former hockey player (and lifelong fan) who dreamed of one day flying his own plane, before sitting behind a drum kit like his idol, fellow Canadian Rush’s Neil Peart. Marks is taking up his territory, equally divided between arena-rock and roots country.

Count Basie Center for the Arts is New Jersey’s premier center for the cultural arts, dedicated to fostering powerful, inclusive artistic experiences and creative exchange of ideas. The Basie mission is to inspire, educate and entertain through its distinct and engaging cultural and artistic offerings that embrace and amplify the diversity of the region. As a nonprofit organization, the Basie is committed to enriching the community’s quality of life by generating opportunities for participation in the arts, partnering with schools, collaborating with other mission-based organizations and driving regional economic prosperity. The Basie Center has hosted an array of world-class artists, including Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band, Jon Bon Jovi, John Legend, Crosby Stills & Nash, Tony Bennett, Sophia Loren and Ringo Starr. Count Basie Center programming is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
