(PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts invites you to share in some storytelling fun and Halloween mischief at its “We All Scream” storytelling event on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Bring your favorite Halloween memories to recount in a 5- to 7-minute story for this all-ages event.
“Storytelling events bring people together in so many different ways, and we keep them fun and casual, so everyone can have a good time,” says Aylin Green, Executive Director. “Some people love to take the stage and share their stories, while others just enjoy hearing them.”
“We All Scream” is one of a series of storytelling events hosted at West Windsor Arts by Maureen Connolly-Hersh, a professor at TCNJ and a Board member of West Windsor Arts. Each event has its own distinct theme, but they all include treats and prizes, and benefit the educational programming at West Windsor Arts.
“I am especially excited about the theme for this event. It’s the perfect time of year for family-friendly tales of haunted houses and hayrides, Mischief Night antics and trick-or-treat candy hoarding,” says Connolly-Hersh. “We’ll be sharing memories and making new ones!”
The evening will feature a vegan gelato tasting by Mishti Chocolates, prizes for all the storytellings, and a grand prize for the audience favorites. All participants will have the opportunity to purchase full servings of gelato, with a portion of the proceeds supporting West Windsor Arts.
The first four storytellers to register will be able to enter the arts center early to save the best seats for friends and family. All other storytellers (for a total of eight) will get a chance to tell their stories on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit westwindsorarts.org/event/storytelling-scream/.
The West Windsor Arts Council (952 Alexander Road, Princeton Junction) offers art and cultural events, workshops, and classes for all ages and in all disciplines at the West Windsor Arts Center and in the community.
