(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Summit Playhouse presents The Minutes by Tracy Letts from October 13-28, 2023. This scathing new comedy about small-town politics and real-world power, from the author of August: Osage County, exposes the ugliness behind some of our most closely-held American narratives while asking each of us what we would do to keep from becoming history's losers.
Directed by Gordon Wiener, the cast includes Christopher Peterson (Assalone), Kevern Cameron (Oldfield), Andrew Blais (Superba), Brad Forenza (Hanratty), Paula Ehrenberg (Matz), Sharon McGuire (Innes), Chip Prestera (Carp), Andrew Froehlich (Breeding), Rebecca Phillips (Johnson), Ron Richardson (Blake), and Lonny Friedman (Peel).
The Stage Manager is Christine Petruzzell and the play's Producers are Joann Scanlon and Pam Heller.
Performances take place October 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 at 8:00pm; and October 15, 22 at 2:00pm. Tickets are: Adults $25, Seniors/Students $20 (with valid ID). Tickets are available for purchase online. The Summit Playhouse is located at 10 New England Avenue in Summit, New Jersey.
The Summit Playhouse, a non-profit community theatre, was founded in 1918 as a World War I relief organization. Since then, they have mounted over 300 productions, and we are one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in the United States. They produce three Main Stage shows a year, with performances in November, February/March, and April/May. Kaleidoscope Youth Theatre presents a Junior production in December and July, a full-length musical every summer, and various workshops throughout the year.
