The ShowRoom and Asbury Park Movie Club Present: HITCHCOCK'TOBER

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- This October, The ShowRoom Cinema, in partnership with the Asbury Park Movie Club, is thrilled to present HITCHCOCK'TOBER—a month-long celebration of Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense. Every Wednesday at 7:00pm, beginning October 9th, audiences can experience four of Hitchcock’s greatest films: Vertigo, Rear Window, The Birds, and Psycho. Each screening will feature a special introduction, trivia, and prizes. Tickets are $15.

Film Schedule:

10/9 - Vertigo (1958): A retired detective, suffering from acrophobia, becomes obsessed with an old friend's wife in this psychological thriller. Starring: Barbara Bel Geddes, Henry Jones, James Stewart, Kim Novak, Tom Helmore

10/16 - Rear Window (1954): A photographer, confined to a wheelchair, spies on his neighbors from his apartment window and suspects one of them has committed murder. Starring: Grace Kelly, James Stewart, Raymond Burr, Thelma Ritter, Wendell Corey

  

10/23- The Birds (1963): A peaceful California town is thrown into chaos as inexplicable bird attacks terrorize the residents. Starring: Jessica Tandy, Rod Taylor, Suzanne Pleshette, Tippi Hedren, Veronica Cartwright

Known as the "Master of Suspense," Alfred Hitchcock revolutionized the thriller genre with his unique ability to build tension and explore psychological depth. His films delve into human fears, anxieties, and the darker side of human nature, leaving an indelible mark on film history.

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program in Cinema Studies, presents the 2026 New Jersey International Film Festival which marks their 31st Anniversary. The NJIFF competition will be taking place on the Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between May 29 - June 7, 2026 and will be a hybrid one as they will be presenting it online as well as doing in-person screenings at Rutgers University.
