The Levoy Theatre presents The Rolling Stones vs The Beatles

(MILLVILLE, NJ) -- The legendary battle between The Rolling Stones and The Beatles will play out on The Levoy Theatre stage on Friday, October 14 at 8:00pm.  In one corner is Classic Stones Live featuring the Glimmer Twins and in the other is The Weeklings performing the songs by The Beatles.

Classic Stones Live featuring The Glimmer TwinsFront man Keith Call has all of the moves and swagger of Mick Jagger, and along with his partner in crime Bernie Bollendorf, who portrays rock and roll outlaw Keith Richards, they complete the duo notoriously hailed as “The Glimmer Twins”. Their jaw dropping resemblance to these two rock and roll icons is simply amazing, but what truly makes Classic Stones Live (TM) unique, is their musical prowess, attention to detail, and the spot on renditions of all of your favorite Rolling Stones “classics”!

From the signature saxophone solo in Brown Sugar to the unforgettable backing vocals in Gimme Shelter, every last detail has been accounted for by this eight piece band. Classic Stones Live (TM) performs all of the songs that are staples of any Rolling Stones show in original tunings. The band captures the raw energy of the most electrifying performances throughout The Rolling Stones career, and recreates The Stones in their legendary prime. The Weeklings: (JEM recording artists) - America’s most unique celebration of the music and muse of The Beatles, features former members of Styx, Dave Mason, the original Beatlemania on Broadway, Jon Bon Jovi & The Kings of Suburbia,  Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes, Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg’s Jukebox and BeatleFest house band Liverpool.

The band performs and records explosive renditions of  The Beatles album and Top 40 classics, uniquely arranged nuggets such as "Paperback Writer", "Baby You're a Rich Man” and “I Am the Walrus”, 60’s classic remakes like The Easybeats 1966 garage rock hit  “Friday On My Mind” featuring Peter Noone of Herman Hermit's fame on lead vocals plus brilliant Beatles-inspired power-pop originals, like “Little Elvis”, "In the Moment" and "3" the title track from their latest album chosen the #1 Coolest Song in the World 2020 on Sirius/XM's Little Steven's Underground Garage. The Weeklings bring their music to life through their extraordinary energy and musicianship, exceptional vocals, and charming stage presence.

The The Weeklings include Glen Burtnik aka "LEFTY WEEKLING" (bass/vocals), Bob Burger aka "ZEEK WEEKLING" (rhythm guitar/vocals), John Merjave aka "ROCKY WEEKLING" (lead guitar/vocals) and Joe Bellia aka “SMOKESTACK WEEKLING" (drums/vocals). 

The Weeklings are annually featured at premier Beatles festival events like Abbey Road on The River in Jefferson, IN and The Fest for Beatles Fans in Jersey City, NJ and Chicago, IL. They play numerous clubs and theaters including the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, Pollak Theatre, Monmouth University, The Count Basie Theater, Red Bank, the New Hope Winery, The City Wineries in NYC, Washington DC, Boston and Philadelphia, the Maryland Theatre, Hagerstown, the Mauch Chunk Opera House, Jim Thorpe, Steel Stacks, Bethlehem, The Bull Run, Shirley, Mcloones Supper Club, Asbury Park, Hard Rock Cafe, Atlantic City, Outpost in the Burbs, Montclair, the Grunin Center, Toms River, The Sands, Bethlehem, Daryls House, Pauling, Paramount Theatre, Asbury Park, Towne Crier, Beacon, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Nashville, The Space at Westbury, The Cutting Room, NYC, The State Theatre, New Brunswick, Penn Community Bank Amphitheater, Bensalem, Mayo Performing Arts Center, Morristown, The World Cafe, Philadelphia and many others.

Tickets range from $39-$54 and are available for purchase online. Premium seating is available. Premium prices include a $20 non-refundable donation to the Levoy. Merchandise will be available for purchase. Meet & Greet will be post-show at the merchandise table. The Vaudeville Bar will open and begin serving at 7:00pm.
