(POINT PLEASANT, NJ) -- The Artist Collective Troupe will present both “Into the Woods” and “Into the Woods Jr.” this August as their summer musicals! In this timeless, yet relevant, modern classic, the Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family, and the choices we make!
Head into the woods with the Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results!
“Into the Woods Jr.” will be presented on August 4 at 7:00pm and August 5 at 2:00pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Point Pleasant, NJ. Tickets are $16 and the show will benefit Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The creative team includes director Eric Pertgen, music director Chelsea Carlson, choreographer Susie Guida, and assistant music director Ashley Burroughs.
