(GALLOWAY, NJ) -- Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, a premier dancing company celebrating 40 years, is set to take over the Stockton University Performing Arts Center's main stage on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Showtime is 8:00pm.
Internationally acclaimed flamenco artist Emilio Ochando will preview an electrifying debut performance of EQUILIBRIO, a project that combines classic and traditional flamenco dancing. Featuring a cast of 9 artists from the US and Spain, the work embraces flamenco tradition while creating a unique environment of sound and creative staging. Shawl, bells, spoons, and castanets interact with an original musical composition by Daniel Jurado featuring multi-instrumentalist Gonzalo Grau.
Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana was founded in 1983 and is currently housed in New York City and Durham, North Carolina. Its mission is to promote flamenco dancing as an art form and a significant part of Hispanic heritage and culture. It accomplishes this through producing and performing shows across the world, providing arts education, and teaching the next generation of dancers and educators.
Tickets are $25 for the general public, $15 for children (12 and under), and $10 for Stockton students. Tickets are available for purchase online. Tickets are also available at the Stockton Performing Arts Center box office from 10:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Thursday and 90 minutes before showtime. Call 609-652-9000.
