(SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- Ahoy, theater enthusiasts! Spring Lake Theatre presents the timeless classic "HMS Pinafore" from April 12-27, 2024. Audiences will be transported back to the Victorian era as they embark on a high-seas adventure filled with romance, humor, and unforgettable melodies.

Produced by Patricia Barry and directed by Derek Hulse, this production promises to be a delightful journey filled with laughter, romance, and toe-tapping melodies. Set aboard the HMS Pinafore, the operetta follows the romantic entanglements of the ship's crew and passengers, weaving a tale of love, class conflict, and mistaken identities. Music direction is by Beth Moore, with Choreography by Christine Baglivio and set design by Andrew Dagostino.

The cast features many new and familiar faces. Anthony Preuster plays the role of Sir Joseph Porter, the comically inept and self-important First Lord of the Admiralty, with Jason Tamashausky as Captain Corcoran, the well-meaning but pompous captain of the H.M.S. Pinafore. Corcoran’s daughter, Josephine, is played by Hannah Brodlie, with Andrew Ferrie portraying Ralph Rackstraw, the young sailor she falls in love with despite their different social standings.

The troublesome Dick Deadeye is played by Steve Bartlow, with Sean Astrom as Bill Bobstay and Steven Copp as Bob Becket. Marybeth Dorman Jacobson portrays Little Buttercup, a bumbling but good-hearted bumboat woman who harbors a secret that could change the course of the characters' lives. Sir Joseph Porter’s cousin Hebe, who is infatuated with him and eagerly awaits his return to port, is played by Taylor Jarkin.

The cast also features Sean Busk, Kyle Kimmel, and Frank Leonhardt as sailors, as well as Lauryn Boyle, Morgan Harris, Emily Davis, Mary Jodry, and Thea Sheridan as Sir Joseph Porter’s various sisters, cousins, and aunts.
