(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present a concert of contemporary piano music by Asian, American, and European composers, December 17, 2023 at 2:00pm, featuring pianist Dr. Jae Hee Min. The event, part of the MOZAIKA Concert Series’ current season, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.
The performance will feature music by Lera Auerbach, Karen Tanaka, Tan Dun, Juri Seo, Texu Kim, and Mathew Jihoon Pellegrino.
Dr. Min has won top prizes at numerous prestigious competitions around the world, including 1st prize at the Puigcerda International Piano Competition; 1st prize at the Carles and Sofia Music Competition; 1st prize at the NY International Music Competition; 3rd prize at International Competition OPUS Poland; 1st prize at the NY Korea Times Competition; 1st prize and a special prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition “Bonn” and “Salzburg”; 2nd prize at the Muse International Competition Greece; and 1st prize at the Golden Classical Awards International Music Competition. As an internationally sought-after performer, she has performed at various concert venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Seoul National Grand Theater, Yamaha Concert Salon, Hoam Arts Center Seoul, International Performing Arts Center Seoul, Beethoven-Haus Bonn, Musikverein Vienna, Mozart-Haus Vienna, and Mozarteum Salzburg.
The MOZAIKA Concert Series is designed to promote multicultural dialogue through the performance of music from the classical canon through the 21st Century. Concert proceeds will benefit the Applied Music Fund for purchases of musical instruments and scholarships for RVCC music students.
