Roy's Hall presents "A Very Slambovian Christmas"

originally published: 12/02/2024

(BLAIRSTOWN, NJ) -- On Friday, December 20, 2024, Roy's Hall presents "A Very Slambovian Christmas" - a perennial favorite for the venue. This  holiday show hosted by the Slambovian Circus of Dreams will 'flip your switch' and spark the holiday spirit in a fun 'outside the box' style. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Also known as The Grand Slambovians, the band pioneered the alt-folk/Americana genre, staying on the fringes of the music industry and under the radar while producing several critically acclaimed studio albums. Drawing on a set list comprised of traditional Christmas songs with a twist, a sprinkling of original holiday tunes, and a generous helping of non-traditional musical fare, it is guaranteed there will be something for everyone.

Their distinctive blend of rootsy psychedelica echoes influences from legends like Dylan Bowie Neil Young The Beatles Incredible String Band The Waterboys and Jethro Tull. The Slambovian Circus of Dreams are well-known for their energetic performances that ignite audiences.

Tickets are $35 and available for purchase online. Roy’s Hall is located at 30 Main Street in Blairstown, New Jersey.

Roy's Hall is operated by Blairstown Live-Arts, Inc., a NJ (501(c)(3) non-profit cultural institution with the goal of promoting a broad appreciation of the interplay between culture and artistic expression. It does this by acting as a forum for artists who best exemplify world traditions, reflect contemporary trends and explore artistic frontiers, and by nurturing the artistic and cultural life of its own community in and around the Skylands region of New Jersey.

Toward that end, they nurture the work of emerging artists and celebrate the achievements of acknowledged masters. They educate and engage audiences as active participants in the artistic process. They work to build strong links between disparate elements inside and outside the “arts community” and to remove barriers, both perceived and real, which currently prevent many within their greater community from participating. They seek to generate support for multi-cultural expression and the promotion of active arts for all people.
