(LINDEN, NJ) -- Mystic Vision Players, the resident theatre of Linden, is currently presenting Disney's High School Musical to the Linden stage. The play brings us back to East High School and the Romeo & Juliet story of budding romance in front of the footlights with direction by Howard Whitmore, choreography by LHS dance teacher, Barbara Brady, and music direction by Christynn Morris. Photographer John Posada was on hand one night to take some photos.

This exciting story about following your dreams and going against the status quo is brought to life by Linden's own stars such as Angel Gonzalez portraying “Troy Bolton,” Tiajah Elliott and Rashaan Billups as sister-brother duo “Sharpay and Ryan Evans,” Yostin Campo as “Chad Danforth,” and Roxie Billups as “Taylor McKessie headlining a cast of 31 talented actors singing and dancing their way through this intense score.

I adore playing Sharpay because she is absolutely fabulous in every way!” says Tiajah Elliott about her star-making role. “Sharpay gives me the confidence to be fierce, strong minded, and a queen.”

“It always makes my summer to see so many new faces taking the chance and putting in the work to make an incredible show,” Whitmore said. “They spend so many hours rehearsing just to make it as great as it can be for the audiences, and it really gives them a chance to show off for a crowd.”
