On Saturday, June 25th, the County of Passaic, Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc, and MegaBite Events hosted another Food Truck Festival – this year’s theme was the Northern New Jersey Empanadas. The event took place at Weasel Brook Park in Clifton, New Jersey. It featured approximately 20 food trucks and vendors along with offerings of New Jersey craft beer, wine, hard seltzers and soft drinks as well. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.
Entertainment at the Festival featured live music by Naughty Humphrey, and Grand Theft Audio, an extreme racing remote racetrack, an air-soft shooting gallery, extreme bubble ball, a Jersey Shore game trailer, craft vendors, a henna tattoo artist, and more.
Here are some photos from the event.
“Spending the day with friends, family, and food is exactly what our parks are for," said Alice Szepietowski, Chair of the Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc. “We are grateful that the County of Passaic has supported, not only the Empanada Festival, but all of our programs and park improvement projects throughout the County.”
Designed by the Olmstead Brothers firm, Weasel Brook Park is a 19-acre park featuring a picturesque brook, ADA accessible bathrooms, playground equipment, a spray park, basketball courts, and a fitness circuit. The park is also home to the Vanderhoef-Westervelt House, which was constructed circa 1720.
According to MegaBite Events, this was the first ever Northern New Jersey Empanada Festival in Passaic County.
