(NEWARK, NJ) -- On August 21, 2022, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) hosted a night of reggae legends. The lineup included UB40, the Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson, reggae-fusion vocalist Maxi Priest, and the American band Big Mountain. Photographer Julie Hoffman was on hand to take photos.
UB40 is known for songs like “Red Red Wine,” “(I Can’t Help) Falling in Love With You” and “Food for Thought.” The Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson carries on the legacy of Bob Marley (“No Woman, No Cry,” “Three O’Clock Road Block”). Maxi Priest is known for songs like “Close to You” and “Set the Night to Music”. Big Mountain is known for “Baby, I Love Your Way” and “Get Together”.

Julie Hoffman is a concert and live event photographer with a background in broadcasting. She started out in the newsroom at ABC News in NYC, and ended up as a Technical Director at Disney/ ABC TV studios in Los Angeles. She has since left broadcasting and moved back to the east coast, where she started up her photography business.
