(MOORESTOWN, NJ) -- Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown continues their Perkins House Concerts series with a performance by the Alex Hiele Paris Jazz Combo on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 8:00pm. The series runs on the second Friday of each month through April 2024. For this performance, audiences will travel back in time and soak up the sounds of a Paris jazz club in the 1950s.
Under the direction of bassist, arranger and composer Alex Hiele, the Paris Jazz Combo has released ten albums, including Once Upon A Summertime, French Touch and I Love Paris featuring unique jazz arrangements of popular music from Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Michel Legrand and various French composers. They’ve played at numerous jazz venues and private events in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas.
Michelle Lordi is a world-renowned vocalist and songwriter whose music remains on heavy rotation on jazz radio stations in the US and abroad. Whether she’s singing bebop jazz, exploring experimental soundscapes in her original music or reinterpreting pop ballads, Lordi delivers vividly expressive and eloquent performances of a wide range of music.
