Paterson to Host Anti-Violence Concert featuring Gospel Singer Anthony Brown

(PATERSON, NJ) -- Silk City Connections proudly presents the "Blessings on Blessings: Bounce for Antiviolence" Gospel Concert featuring Anthony J. Brown. The renowned gospel artist and songwriter will perform all of his hits on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Hinchliffe Stadium (186 Maple Street) in Paterson. Showtime is 4:00pm.

Additional performers include Anointed Friends, a dynamic gospel ensemble; Mietta Stancil Farrar and Tahelah, inspirational vocalists; Michael Butler and Company, soul-stirring performers; Mona Cozart, uplifting gospel singer, and a special performance by 500 Paterson summer campers.

They will dance to the infectious rhythm of Anthony J. Brown’s gospel hit, “BOB Bounce.” The Paterson Music Project aims to promote street peace through local talent. This concert is not only about entertainment but also about promoting anti-violence efforts in Paterson and fostering unity.

Tickets are available for purchase online. General admission is $45, VIP is available for $75.

This event is co-sponsored by the City of Paterson, the Division of Community Policing, the Division of Recreation, Hinchliffe Stadium, Montclair State University Charles J. Muth Museum, and St. Joseph’s Health.

Silk City Connections is a group of successful Paterson natives who have come together to address the many challenges that threaten and alter the lives of young people. The group believes that educational and spiritual exposure is key to unlocking a person’s full potential. Engaging in educational and spiritual pursuits builds confidence and compassion. They believe that music, as an art form, provides opportunities and a path to a better future. The group and their associates will use their relationships and resources to contribute and promote free music back into Paterson’s city schools.
