Passaic County Hosts Art in The Park this weekend

(HAWTHORNE, NJ) -- The County of Passaic will host Art in the Park on Saturday, April 30th from 11:00am – 7:00pm and Sunday, May 1st from 11:00am – 5:00pm at sprawling Goffle Brook Park in Hawthorne, New Jersey. This free two-day event will feature fun and engaging activities for the entire family.

Art in the Park will feature art vendors, live music, art activities, food trucks a beer garden, and more. View the works of local artists, engage in art activities, enjoy food and beverages with the scenic landscape of Goffle Brook Park serving as a backdrop. 

Designed by the Olmsted Brothers firm, Goffle Brook Park is a 103-acre park featuring a brook, picnic areas, playgrounds, a dog park, fitness equipment, and multiple athletic fields. The park is also home to the Passaic County Arts Center at the John W. Rea House, which opened in 2019. The Arts Center will also be open and will feature the exhibit “Skyline,” woven works by Jessie Bloom, and “A Convocation of Color” by Ed Whitmore

Other activities at Art in the Park will include yoga and meditation classes, skateboarding demonstrations, the Montclair Art Museum’s Art Truck, and tours of Goffle Brook Park. The Goffle Brook Park Tours are part of the County’s year long celebration of Frederick Law Olmsted’s 200th birthday.

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- On Wednesday, January 29th, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy hosted a reception to celebrate the Rainbow Thursdays: Artists 2025 art exhibit which features pieces created during free art classes. Rainbow Thursdays Artists classes are provided by the Hudson County Local Arts Grant Program (LAP) and are administered by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs /Tourism Development, CDBG/City of Bayonne, and the Jersey City Arts and Culture Trust. This art exhibit is open to the public until February 7th and is located in the Historic Brennan Courthouse Rotunda.
