(JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a special performance of tropical music by the David Cedeño Combo at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The concert begins at 2:00pm.
Let the rhythm carry you out of your seat! David will award a gift DVD and compact disc set to the “most energetic dancer.” Each attendee will receive a free compact disc containing Cedeño’s latest single, “Have I Told You Lately.” The song features vocals by Cedeño and his daughters Davin, Lisa, Dania, and Tina.
Among the songs that will get the band’s tropical treatment are “Sealed With A Kiss,” “Salsa Nama,” “He Will Break Your Heart,” “Tu Me Enloquece,” “Lady In Red,” “Cara De Pallaso,” “Never Go Back To Georgia,” “Cuando Se Acabe La Rumba,” and “Live Without You.”
The singer, trumpeter, guitarist, bassist, composer, and arranger has performed since his early teens. Infusing English-language pop songs with salsa, merengue, and Latin jazz rhythms, Cedeño created a niche among Latino crossover artists in the U.S. He serves as recording director of the Brick Township-based Evelyna record label. The New Jersey-based orchestra tours and distributes recordings around the world, with solid fan bases in Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, and Central and South America. Fans can find recorded performances, photos, concert dates, and more at www.davidcedeno.com, and on Facebook, and YouTube.
