(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The New Brunswick Jazz Project and New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) present Grammy-nominated Nat Adderley, Jr. Quartet on Friday, August 4, 2023 at NBPAC. Nat is an American pop, rhythm, and blues music arranger and pianist who spent much of his music career arranging as music director for Luther Vandross tours and contributed as co-songwriter on most of Vandross's albums. Showtime is 7:00pm.
His father Nat Adderley was a composer, jazz cornet, and trumpet player, while his uncle Cannonball Adderley was an alto saxophonist.
Nat has returned to his jazz roots and will be performing his own works, as well as tributes to both his father and uncle. He cites his influences as Chick Corea, John Coltrane, and Thelonious Monk.
Tickets are $20 and available for purchase online. The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center is located at 11 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of Commissioners through a grant award from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund.
