Middlesex County Launches Bark Rangers Activity Book: A Fun New Way to Explore the Outdoors with Your Furry Friends

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ) -- Calling all dog lovers! Middlesex County is pleased to announce the launch of its new program, Bark Rangers, starting Thursday, August 8, 2024. This unique initiative invites residents and their four-legged companions to discover the County's beautiful parks and open spaces through a series of fun, dog-friendly activities.

The contest, including a physical activity booklet and prize, is open to Middlesex County residents only and while supplies last. Residents can request a physical activity booklet to be mailed to them and are eligible to win the prize, a branded bandana, after completing five activities. Everyone else is welcome to participate in the program using the downloadable PDF version of the activity booklet but is not eligible to win the prize.

“Dogs are truly our best friends, and for the seemingly short time they are around, we are their whole world, and we should strive to spend as much time with them as possible,” said Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios. “This program is a wonderful way to deepen that bond by exploring our scenic parks together. I encourage every dog owner to take part and create lasting memories with their furry friends while enjoying the natural beauty of our County.”

“Middlesex County’s parks and open spaces are one-of-a-kind, and they’re even better when enjoyed with a beloved pet,” said Middlesex County Commissioner Charles. E. Tomaro. “I want to thank our dedicated Parks and Recreation staff, especially our Park Rangers, for helping keep our parks clean, beautiful, and safe so that everyone, including our four-legged friends, can enjoy them.”
