(ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) -- Magnolia Productions, a new Monmouth County theater group, is launching their first full season. After the debut production of David Auburn's Proof last June, for which the company received three New Jersey Association of Community Theater Perry Award nominations, they are back with a full season's offering.
First up is the suspenseful Night Watch by Lucille Fletcher. It is presented for the chills and thrills of the Halloween season and this mystery stretches beyond the classic “who done it” with twists and turns, that leave you asking was a crime even committed?
The production features Christa Collier, Rachel Hamilton, and Bruce Hamilton of Freehold, Samantha Ambler (Hazlet), Carl Hoffman (Eatontown), Jennifer Hyman Zimmerman (Colts Neck), Michael Gonzalez (Manasquan) and Michael Tota (Wall). It is directed by Rachel Hamilton.
Performances take place October 11,12, 18 & 19, 2024 at 7:30pm, with matinee performance at 2:00 pmon October 13 & 19, 2024. Tickets are available for purchase online. The Navesink Library Theater is located at 149 Monmouth Avenue Atlantic Highlands.
This creepy tale breathes new life into the Navesink Library Theater, which was a beacon for community theater for many years. After Covid, the library theater found a new board dedicated to reviving this once thriving venue. The marriage of these two nonprofit organizations seems a natural fit with Magnolia Productions mission statement reading "We believe we all have a voice. We all have a story worth telling and hearing." and the Library Theater board’s determination to restore the Library to its former glory as a cultural center.
