Magnolia Productions and CHAOS Theatre Company present "Proof" by David Auburn

(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Magnolia Productions and CHAOS Theatre Company present Proof by David Auburn at New Jersey Repertory's Studio Theater across two weekends (May 31-June 2 and June 7-9, 2024). Proof was the winner of the 2001 Tony Award® for Best Play and Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

On the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, Catherine, a troubled young woman, has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father’s who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind.

Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: How much of her father’s madness—or genius—will she inherit?

The cast includes Christa Collier as Catherine; Matt Gochman as Hal; Sam Ambler as Claire; and Carl Hoffman as Robert. The production is directed by Armand Marino.

Tickets are $28 and available for purchase online.  Performances take place Friday, May 31 at 7:00pm; Saturday, June 1 at 7:00pm; Sunday, June 2 at 2:00pm; Friday, June 7 at 7:00pm; Saturday, June 8 at 7:00pm; and Sunday, June 9 at 2:00pm. New Jersey Repertory's Studio Theater is located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch, New Jersey.
