Max Weinberg, the heartbeat of the E Street Band and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, will bring his Max Weinberg’s Jukebox to WinterFest 2024. A truly interactive experience, Weinberg invites the audience to create the set list, in real time, that he and his group will play that night. Performing songs from the glory days of rock and roll your guests get to choose from a video menu of over 300 songs — everything from the Beatles to the Stones to Bruce and The E Street Band’s biggest hits — and hear the group play ‘em the way they want to hear them played!  Joining Weinberg on stage will be Light of Day WinterFest favorites Glen Burtnik, Bob Burger, John Merjave, Joe Bellia and Dave Biglin.

Other venues hosting LOD WinterFest 2024 shows include: Asbury Park’s Stone Pony, Wonder Bar, McLoone’s Supper Club, Watermark, Berkeley OceanFront Hotel; Deal’s Axelrod Performing Arts Center; Outpost In The Burbs in Montclair; City Winery in Manhattan and Philadelphia; and Penguin Rep Theatre in Stony Point, NY.

All performances and events will raise money and awareness for the continuing battle to defeat Parkinson’s disease and its related illnesses ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) within our lifetime.

“We are proud to have Light of Day WinterFest return for the 24th year,” said Bob Benjamin, Founder, Light of Day Foundation. “It’s an honor to have some of our favorite musicians come together and commit their time to help rock Asbury Park, Red Bank, Philly and New York throughout January, all for the cause.”

Over the course of 24 years, Light of Day has raised approximately $6.5 million to combat Parkinson’s disease, ALS and PSP. The first official Light of Day concert was held at Asbury Park’s Stone Pony in November 2000 and primarily featured local, unsigned artists.  The critically acclaimed Pittsburgh-based band Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers (managed by Bob Benjamin) headlined the show, which featured a surprise appearance by Bruce Springsteen, who joined the Houserockers for a raucous, hour-long set.

Light of Day has grown from a one-day event into a multi-day festival in the metropolitan area. More significantly, Light of Day has expanded into an internationally recognized tour, through a true grassroots effort of musicians, music fans and benefactors. Light of Day shows have taken place around the world on three continents, with shows in Canada, England, Wales, Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Australia. Portions of the proceeds from each show are donated to a local Parkinson’s organization.

“It’s that time of year folks! Light of Day WinterFest 2024 is, as we say,’just around the corner!’. For 24 years our small group of caring, thoughtful civilians and passionate, talented musicians have committed themselves to making a difference, galvanized into action by the courage, resilience and determination of our founder Bob Benjamin,” said Tony Pallagrosi, Executive Director, Light of Day Foundation. “For 24 years Light of Day has utilized the awesome power of music to raise money and awareness, to fund research, uncover new, more effective therapeutics, promote education and assist families in a quest to end Parkinson’s disease, ALS and PSP in our lifetime. Once again and until our quest becomes reality, please join us for the music, the friendships, old and new, for the celebration and rededication to our common cause at Light of Day WinterFest 2024.”
