Flirt with Fate in Liane Moriarty

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- If you knew your future, would you try to change it? If you knew when your life will end, would it affect what you do now? They’re questions to ponder when reading Here One Moment by acclaimed writer Liane Moriarty and also to consider during her Ocean County Library Virtual Author Talk on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The event begins at 7:00pm.

Already in high demand by OCL patrons, Here One Moment is one of 10 absorbing Moriarty novels available in print, audiobook and downloadable formats through the Ocean County Library.

The Australia native’s mix of mystery and wry social observations has prompted fans around the world to buy more than 20 million copies of her novels. Here One Moment prompts readers to ponder free will and fate, love and loss, and personal control in an impersonal, uncertain world.

Among the passengers boarding a short-hop airline flight is a nondescript, pleasant woman who attracts little attention. Some find her amusing as she predicts the end of their lives. But soon, passengers begin leaving this mortal coil exactly the way the “Death Lady” described. Suddenly, those still alive face sobering decisions about their own lives.
