Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "Anon(ymous)" by Naomi Iizuka. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents Anon(ymous) by award-winning playwright Naomi Iizuka, a poetic and action-packed retelling of Homer's The Odyssey with a modern twist that explores displacement, the search for belonging, hope and resilience, and the power of friendship. The production is directed by faculty member Bi Jean Ngo. Performances are November 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 at the Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theatre Center. Showtime each night is at 8:00pm.

Wednesday, November 6 - WRAT presents Theory of a Deadman: Unplugged with special guests Saint Asonia and Cory Marks at The Basie. 2024 Teaneck International Film Festival. (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival, with its theme, Activism: Making Change, is back! A project of The Puffin Foundation Ltd., the 19th annual festival will be held November 7-14, 2024, featuring over 25 films, panel discussions, and parties, with filmmakers, actors, elected officials and industry guests attending.

2024 Rutgers Jewish Film Festival. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Jewish Film Festival's 25th anniversary year will feature fourteen thought-provoking and entertaining films, dynamic discussions with filmmakers and special guests, and numerous New Jersey premieres on dance, music, the LGBTQ+ experience, American Jewish history, and Israeli society. Twelve films will be screened at the Regal Cinema Commerce Center, North Brunswick (November 7–17, 2024), and five films will be available virtually (November 15–21, 2024).

Thursday, November 7 - Teaneck International Film Festival to Open with "Freedom Hair". (TEANECK, NJ) -- The 2024 Teaneck International Film Festival opens on Thursday, November 7th with Freedom Hair - a feature based on the real story of a Black woman's fight to start a hair braiding business in Mississippi. The screening begins at 7:30pm.

Thursday, November 7 - State Theatre New Jersey presents Scotty McCreery on November 7th. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Scotty McCreery – Fall of Summer Tour on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 7:30pm. McCreery has been a household name for nearly half his life, ever since making history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

Catalyst Theater Company presents "Bat Boy: The Musical" in November. (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Catalyst Theater Company presents Bat Boy:The Musical across two weekends (November 8-17, 2024) at duCret Center of Art. The inspiration for Bat Boy was drawn from a 1992 story in Weekly World News, known for publishing bizarre, satirical tales. This American Horror Rock Musical/Comedy captures the unique blend of horror, camp, comedy, and tragedy of the original tabloid story.

Friday, November 8 - New Jersey Ballet to Open 2024/25 Season with "Creative Forces" on November 8th. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- New Jersey Ballet (NJB), the Resident Ballet Company of the Mayo Performing Arts Center, will open its 2024/2025 season on Friday, November 8, at 7:30pm with Creative Forces, a dynamic program showcasing the artistry of celebrated choreographers Jerome Robbins, Justin Peck and Lauren Lovette.

Saturday, November 9 - From Egypt to Teaneck – Filmmaker Omar Hilal is making the trip for the Screening of "Voy! Voy! Voy!". (TEANECK, NJ) -- Renowned filmmaker Michael Moore, who believes in combining activism with wit, would no doubt give a five-star review to the feature Voy! Voy! Voy!, the Teaneck International Film Festival's Centerpiece selection which will be shown following the TIFF gala, Saturday evening, November 9, 2024 at Temple Emeth, 1666 Windsor Rd., Teaneck. The screening is set for 7:00pm.

Saturday, November 9 - Teaneck International Film Festival presents a Screening of "A House is Not a Disco". (TEANECK NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival presents a screening of A House Is Not A Disco on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Puffin Cultural Form. The film documents a year in the life of the storied queer beach town (Fire Island) now facing the challenge of rising seas caused by climate change. The screening begins at 4:30pm.

Saturday, November 9 - Teaneck International Film Festival to Screen "Union," a documentary about the fight to create an Amazon Labor Union. (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival presents a screening of Union on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Puffin Cultural Forum. The documentary chronicles the extraordinary efforts of an unlikely group of warehouse workers as they launch a grassroots union campaign at an Amazon fulfillment center. Screening takes place at 2:00pm.

Saturday, November 9 - Grunin Center presents The Martha Redbone Roots Project on Saturday. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Grunin Center for the Arts presents The Martha Redbone Roots Project on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 7:00pm. The New Yorker magazine called the band "a brilliant collision of cultures..."

Sunday, November 10 - Teaneck International Film Festival presents a screening of the feature documentary "Sabbath Queen". (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival presents a screening of the feature documentary Sabbath Queen on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Temple Emeth. The film was directed and produced by Sandi DuBowski. Showtime is 3:00pm.

Sunday, November 10 - Teaneck International Film Festival to Screen "Ain't No Back to a Merry-Go-Round". (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Puffin Cultural Forum will screen the groundbreaking new documentary Ain't No Back to a Merry-Go-Round, from Emmy award-winning director Ilana Trachtman (Praying with Lior, Mariachi High, Black in Latin America) as part of the Teaneck International Film Festival on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 4:45pm. The documentary is quickly becoming a lightning rod for heartfelt dialogue between the Black and Jewish communities, and celebrated in both communities' film festivals simultaneously. Ain't No Back won Best Documentary Feature at the DC Black Film Festival, and three weeks later went on to sell out all five nights of a limited theatrical run at the DC JCC.

Sunday, November 10 - 2024 Teaneck International Film Festival presents "Politics is a Mother". (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Teaneck International Film Festival, with the theme, Activism: Making Change, returns November 7-14, 2024. The "live" part of the festival runs November 7-10, ending with the premiere of Politics is a Mother, a documentary about NJ Senator Loretta Weinberg, at Temple Emeth (1666 Windsor Road) in Teaneck. Additional films will be offered online from November 11-14.

Tuesday, November 12 - State Theatre New Jersey presents Paul Anka: All the Hits - His Way. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents singer-songwriter Paul Anka: All the Hits—His Way on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 7:30pm. Tickets range from $49-$229.

Friday, November 8 - Two River Theater to present two Concerts by Bernadette Peters in November. Friday, November 8 - Light Opera of New Jersey presents a vibrant new production of Donizetti's beloved comic opera, The Elixir of Love. (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Light Opera of New Jersey is proud to present a vibrant new production of Donizetti's beloved comic opera, The Elixir of Love ("L'Elisir d'Amore"). This colorful and fresh take has been brought to life by acclaimed director, Stefanos Koroneos. Performances take place November 8-9, 2024 at Sieminski Theater.

Saturday, November 9 - Scottish Rite Auditorium presents Bruce Cockburn. (COLLINGSWOOD, NJ) -- The Scottish Rite Auditorium presents Bruce Cockburn with special guest Patty Larkin on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Saturday, November 9 - JAZZ HOUSE KiDS Presents Annual JAZZ HOUSE Goes To College On November 9th. JAZZ HOUSE KiDS is excited to announce the return of its annual free JAZZ HOUSE Goes to College program on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Trinity Commons, New York. Sunday, November 10 - American Brass Quintet Comes to Sewell on November 10th. (SEWELL, NJ) -- Continuing Music at Bunker Hill’s mission of bringing great performers to the heart of Southern New Jersey, American Brass Quintet (ABQ) performs on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 3:00pm with works spanning five centuries.

Monday, November 11 - VetsAid 2024 to Feature Joe Walsh, Eric Church, Toto, Kool & The Gang. (BELMONT, NY) -- Joe Walsh, multi-GRAMMY Award winning musician and Kennedy Center Honor recipient and VetsAid, his national 501(c)3 non-profit veterans organization, have announced the lineup and on-sale date for their eighth annual festival offering. VetsAid 2024 will feature full sets from Eric Church, Toto, Kool & The Gang and Walsh himself. The show will take place at 7:00pm on Monday, November 11, 2024 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY, located 30 minutes from Penn Station or Grand Central via LIRR.

Manhattan Theatre Club presents World Premiere of "Vladimir" by Erika Sheffer. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Manhattan Theatre Club has announced full casting for the world premiere of Vladimir, written by Erika Sheffer (Russian Transport) and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (MTC: Proof, Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes). Vladimir runs from September 24 to November 10, 2024 at New York City Center Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Shakespeare Theatre of NJ presents "Macbeth" on the Main Stage for the first time in two decades. (MADISON, NJ) -- When three mysterious strangers confront a noble general on a barren heath, the fate of a nation is changed forever. Ambition, power, and madness drive Shakespeare's thrilling masterpiece, Macbeth, appearing this fall on the Main Stage of the acclaimed Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) for the first time in two decades. The strictly limited run plays at The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University from October 16 through November 17, 2024.

Art House Productions Presents "Gruesome Playground Injuries" by Rajiv Joseph. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions in collaboration with Half-Light Productions, is thrilled to announce the upcoming presentation of Rajiv Joseph's compelling play, "Gruesome Playground Injuries," directed by Catriona Rubenis-Stevens. In a time when empathy and understanding are more crucial than ever, this play seeks to foster connection and dialogue. Performances run weekends from October 18 to November 10, 2024.

Luna Stage presents the NY premiere of "Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library". (NEW YORK, NY) -- Luna Stage proudly presents the New York premiere of Jenny Lyn Bader's Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library, directed by Ari Laura Kreith, running Off-Broadway October 18 – November 10, 2024 for 25 performances in a limited engagement at 59E59 Theaters, Theater B, located at 59 East 59th Street in New York City. Previews begin October 18 for an October 24 opening.

The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents "Kinky Boots". (PITMAN, NJ) -- The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Tony Award-winning hit Kinky Boots weekends from October 25 to November 17, 2024. Based on the 2005 film and inspired by a true story, Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price, an aspiring young businessman who is forced to give up his dreams of living the London city life in order to save his late father's family business in Northern England.

Bridge Players Theatre Company presents the Hauntingly Beautiful "Jekyll & Hyde". (BURLINGTON, NJ) -- Bridge Players Theatre Company, the Burlington City-based community theatre group, continues its 2024-2025 "Season of Change" with the haunting musical Jekyll & Hyde. Opening October 25 and continuing weekends through November 9, this spine-tingling spectacle features a special Halloween performance October 31, 2024.

South Camden Theatre Company presents "God of Carnage". (CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company presents God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza across three weekends in November 2024. Using a translation by Christopher Hampton, the production of the 2009 Tony Award winning play is directed by Connie Norwood.

Sara Koviak and Anne O'Sullivan to Star in "Your Name Means Dream" at NJ Rep. (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) will continue its 27th Season with a presentation of Your Name Means Dream, written and directed by Academy Award-nominated José Rivera. This production will star Sara Koviak (New York: The Hours are Feminine) and Anne O' Sullivan (Broadway: Blythe Spirit), who both originated these roles when it debuted at the Contemporary American Theater Festival in 2023. It will begin performances on October 31, with its opening night on November 2, and run through November 24, 2024.

Get into the Holiday Spirit with "White Christmas" at Music Mountain Theatre. (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre (MMT) in Lambertville presents a three-weekend run of White Christmas from November 1–17, 2024. White Christmas, the Irving Berlin musical based on the 1954 Paramount film starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen, will be the fourteenth mainstage show of MMT’s 2024 season, and the perfect way to usher in the holiday season!

Playhouse 22 presents "School of Rock" in November. (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- School of Rock - The Musical, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Julian Fellowes comes to Playhouse 22 weekends from November 1-17, 2024.

Pebble Players Youth Theater presents "The Wedding Singer". (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Pebble Players Youth Theater will take you back to the 80's with The Wedding Singer, an energetic and fun show that has performances weekends from November 1-10, 2024. This hilarious show takes on the days when hair was big, greed was good, and all collars were up guaranteeing laughs, while its sparkling new score orchestrates the unmissable dance numbers.

County College of Morris presents "In The Heights". (RANDOLPH, NJ) -- The Marielaine Mammon School of Music, Performing Arts and Music Technologies at County College of Morris (CCM) presents this fall's musical "In The Heights" from November 6-9, 2024. The play is set in the lively Latino neighborhood of Washington Heights, Manhattan—where sweet coffee flows from corner bodegas, windows are always open and the air resonates with the rhythm of three generations of music.

Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival 2024 takes place in November. (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival 2024 will begin its portion of CSC's 2024-2025 season with Dr. Glas, My Buddy, and Courage. Performances will take place in the Kutz Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Ave, Hackettstown, throughout November.

Centenary Stage Company to Kick Off 2024 Fringe Festival with "Dr. Glas". (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival 2024 will begin with Dr. Glas adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher. Performances take place November 7-10, 2024. Daniel Gerroll is Dr. Glas in this adaptation of the classic Swedish novel by Hjalmar Soderberg. The play tells the tale of an aloof Swedish physician who gradually unburdens his soul with the story of his obsession for another man's wife and the murder he plots to win her heart.

Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "A Life Worth Living". (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents A Life Worth Living, a new dramatic-comedy musical by Princeton senior Jeffery Chen. Performance take place November 8-9 and November 14-16, 2024 in the Wallace Theater at the Lewis Arts complex on the Princeton campus.

The Players Guild of Leonia presents "Romeo & Juliet". (LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia presents William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet weekends from November 8-24, 2024. The production is directed by Rachel Alt.

Maurer Productions OnStage presents "Beauty and the Beast" at Kelsey Theatre. (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- A timeless story set to music featuring some of the most beloved characters of all time comes to the Kelsey Theatre stage when Maurer Productions OnStage presents Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," weekends from November 8-24, 2024.

For the Whim Productions presents "The Tempest". (BRIDGETON, NJ) -- For the Whim Productions presents The Tempest from November 8-16, 2024 at Hopeloft in Bridgeton. This version of the Shakespeare classic will be set in a modern, corporate business world with a twist of playful meddling magic.

Thursday, November 7 - NJPAC presents Comedian René Vaca on November 7th. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Hilarious comic René Vaca makes his New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) debut on Thursday, November 7, 2024 for two shows: 7:30pm & 9:45pm. The 28-year-old recently stole the show at the 2024 Netflix Is A Joke Festival, where he was one of a handful of rising stars chosen to perform an "Introducing..." set.

Wednesday, November 6 - NBPAC to Screen "Running To Stand Still – Migrants Search For Hope In The Promised Land" with Talkback Afterwards. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) will present a free screening of the documentary film Running To Stand Still – Migrants Search For Hope In The Promised Land on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 6:00pm. The film runs 25 minutes and there will be a 45-60 minute talkback afterwards.

Thursday, November 7 - The ShowRoom Presents NEUROTIC NOVEMBER – A Film Series Playing On Pre-Holiday Anxieties. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The ShowRoom invites audiences to dive into the hilariously uncomfortable world of NEUROTIC NOVEMBER. This film series is perfectly timed to tap into our end-of-the-year anxieties. Blending the stress of the election season and the looming chaos of the holidays, these films capture our most relatable tensions! It's more fun than it sounds, they promise! (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton University's Lewis Center for the Arts presents the next event in the 2024-25 AtelieratLarge conversation series that brings guest artists and intellectuals to campus for public discussions on the challenges they face in making art in the modern world. On November 12, 2024, Princeton's Howard G.B. Clark '21 University Professor in the Humanities and Director of the Princeton Atelier Paul Muldoon will be joined by writer Jennifer Finney Boylan; composer, performer, director, vocalist, filmmaker, and choreographer Meredith Monk; and poet Maria Stepanova with translator Sasha Dugdale.
