Catalyst Theater Company presents "Bat Boy: The Musical" in November. (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Catalyst Theater Company presents Bat Boy:The Musical across two weekends (November 8-17, 2024) at duCret Center of Art. The inspiration for Bat Boy was drawn from a 1992 story in Weekly World News, known for publishing bizarre, satirical tales. Friday, November 15 - bergenPAC presents The Moody Blues' John Lodge performing Days of Future Passed. Friday, November 15 - MPAC presents Christian Rock Band, Newsboys, on November 15th. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- With a decades-spanning career and a vastly impressive catalog blending different styles, genres, and even band members at times, Newsboys is a name within the Christian music space that can't be ignored. Newsboys brings their Worldwide Revival Nights Tour to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 7:00pm.

Phoenix Productions presents "The Color Purple: The Musical". Saturday, November 16 - Split Level Concerts presents Brian Dunne and Jake Thistle on November 16th. Thursday, November 14 - Senses Fail and Saves the Day to Offer Livestream of November 14th Concert. Friday, November 15 - AMERICA to Play Two Shows at Scottish Rite Auditorium. (COLLINGSWOOD, NJ) -- The iconic multi-platinum-selling group AMERICA are celebrating their 54th anniversary with a series of national tour dates in 2024. Billed as the "Ride On Tour 2024," the tour comes to the Scottish Rite Auditorium November 15-16, 2024 with shows at 8:00pm each night. Saturday, November 16 - RVCC Theatre presents Trout Fishing in America on November 16th. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will present a concert by the musical duo Trout Fishing in America on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2:00pm. The performance is part of the Theatre's Family Matinee series, designed for children and young teens and their families.

Saturday, November 16 - Middletown Arts Center to Hold Teen Band Fest on November 16th. ** This event has been cancelled. (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center celebrates TEEN bands this fall with the inaugural TEEN Band Fest. Shakespeare Theatre of NJ presents "Macbeth" on the Main Stage for the first time in two decades. (MADISON, NJ) -- When three mysterious strangers confront a noble general on a barren heath, the fate of a nation is changed forever. Ambition, power, and madness drive Shakespeare's thrilling masterpiece, Macbeth, appearing this fall on the Main Stage of the acclaimed Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) for the first time in two decades. The strictly limited run plays at The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University from October 16 through November 17, 2024.

The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents "Kinky Boots". (PITMAN, NJ) -- The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Tony Award-winning hit Kinky Boots weekends from October 25 to November 17, 2024. Based on the 2005 film and inspired by a true story, Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price, an aspiring young businessman who is forced to give up his dreams of living the London city life in order to save his late father's family business in Northern England.

South Camden Theatre Company presents "God of Carnage". (CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company presents God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza across three weekends in November 2024. Using a translation by Christopher Hampton, the production of the 2009 Tony Award winning play is directed by Connie Norwood.

Sara Koviak and Anne O'Sullivan to Star in "Your Name Means Dream" at NJ Rep. (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) will continue its 27th Season with a presentation of Your Name Means Dream, written and directed by Academy Award-nominated José Rivera. This production will star Sara Koviak (New York: The Hours are Feminine) and Anne O' Sullivan (Broadway: Blythe Spirit), who both originated these roles when it debuted at the Contemporary American Theater Festival in 2023. It will begin performances on October 31, with its opening night on November 2, and run through November 24, 2024.

Get into the Holiday Spirit with "White Christmas" at Music Mountain Theatre. (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre (MMT) in Lambertville presents a three-weekend run of White Christmas from November 1–17, 2024. White Christmas, the Irving Berlin musical based on the 1954 Paramount film starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen, will be the fourteenth mainstage show of MMT’s 2024 season, and the perfect way to usher in the holiday season!

Playhouse 22 presents "School of Rock" in November. (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- School of Rock - The Musical, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Julian Fellowes comes to Playhouse 22 weekends from November 1-17, 2024.

Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival 2024 takes place in November. (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Fringe Festival 2024 will begin its portion of CSC's 2024-2025 season with Dr. Glas, My Buddy, and Courage. Performances will take place in the Kutz Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Ave, Hackettstown, throughout November.

Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "A Life Worth Living". (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents A Life Worth Living, a new dramatic-comedy musical by Princeton senior Jeffery Chen. Performance take place November 8-9 and November 14-16, 2024 in the Wallace Theater at the Lewis Arts complex on the Princeton campus.

The Players Guild of Leonia presents "Romeo & Juliet". (LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia presents William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet weekends from November 8-24, 2024. The production is directed by Rachel Alt.

Maurer Productions OnStage presents "Beauty and the Beast" at Kelsey Theatre. (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- A timeless story set to music featuring some of the most beloved characters of all time comes to the Kelsey Theatre stage when Maurer Productions OnStage presents Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," weekends from November 8-24, 2024.

For the Whim Productions presents "The Tempest". (BRIDGETON, NJ) -- For the Whim Productions presents The Tempest from November 8-16, 2024 at Hopeloft in Bridgeton. This version of the Shakespeare classic will be set in a modern, corporate business world with a twist of playful meddling magic.

Luna Stage presents "Lonely Planet" by Steven Dietz. (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents Lonely Planet by Steven Dietz, directed by Melissa Firlit, from November 14 – December 8, 2024. Lonely Planet is a funny and heartwarming story of friendship, love, and survival. In the 1990s, down an old city street, inside a small map store, a pile of chairs begins to form. Two best friends, Jody and Carl, manage the ever-growing mountain of chairs while taking care of each other and navigating the dark reality that looms in the outside world.

Teaneck High School presents "She Kills Monsters" - A Journey through fantasy, friendship, and finding yourself. (TEANECK, NJ) -- The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Teaneck High School (THS) is proud to present She Kills Monsters, at the Helen B. Hill Auditorium at Teaneck High (100 Elizabeth Avenue) from November 14-17, 2024. Written by Qui Nguyen, it is a heartfelt story of two sisters connecting through high adventure, slaying monsters, and conquering foes.

CherryBlossomPlayers:LLC presents a double feature of plays this week. (NUTLEY, NJ) -- CherryBlossomPlayers:LLC presents a double feature of plays from November 14-16, 2024 with performances of The Frogs and Riders to the Sea. Shows take place at Philhower Chapel at Vincent United Methodist Church (100 Vincent Place) in Nutley New Jersey.

SPQR Stage Company presents "Freezing Antarctica". (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- SPQR Stage Company, the Jersey Shore's "Original" theater company, will present Freezing Antarctica across two weekends (November 15-16 and November 22-23, 2024) at Studio;Space in Somers Point. The play is written and directed by SPQR's Artistic Director Bill Sterritt.

Pioneer Productions presents powerful drama: "Dinner with Friends" by Donald Margulies. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Pioneer Productions presents "Dinner with Friends," the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Donald Margulies, from November 15-24, 2024, at The Stage at Fellowship Hall in the Morristown United Methodist Church (50 South Park Place) in Morristown. The play explores the complexities of modern relationships through the lives of two couples whose friendships are tested by unexpected revelations and personal crises.

Playwright Wants to Challenge and Delight Audiences with 'Freezing Antarctica' at SPQR Stage Company. (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- SPQR Stage Company, the Jersey Shore's "Original" theater company, will produce Freezing Antarctica, written and directed by SPQR's Artistic Director Bill Sterritt, November 15-16, and November 22-23, 2024 at Studio;Space in Somers Point. The plot revolves around Russian meteorologist Nikita Alexandra Romanov, who is on a desperate dash to the South Pole to save the world when she meets an American adventurer Jack Kennedy Armstrong Earhart on the way.

Levoy Theatre presents Irving Berlin's "White Christmas". (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- Get into the holiday spirit with Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Levoy Theatre. Based upon the classic film, the production features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Performances run weekends from November 15-24, 2024.

East Lynne Theater Company presents "The Death Of Sherlock Holmes" Radio-Style. (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- East Lynne Theater Company will present two weekends of performances of "The Death of Sherlock Holmes?" radio-style, on November 15-16 and 22-23. Two stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle intertwine — "The Final Problem" and "The Adventure of the Empty House"—and have been adapted and are directed by East Lynne veteran Mark Edward Lang.

Readington Community Theatre presents "Breaking Legs". (READINGTON TWP, NJ) -- Readington Community Theatre presents Breaking Legs weekends from November 15-24, 2024 at The Three Bridges Banquet Hall. Step into the world of dark comedy with Breaking Legs, a hilarious and suspenseful play that expertly blends crime, passion, and pasta.

The Theater Project's "New Play Readings" series to feature works by Lynn Marie Macy, Rosemary Parrillo, and Joseph Vitale. (CRANFORD, NJ) -- Theater enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see staged readings of three new plays and share their reactions with the playwrights during the third of The Theater Project's "New Play Readings" on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Cranford Community Center. Trilogy Repertory presents "The Trip to Bountiful" by Horton Foote. Brookdale Performing Arts Center presents "An Evening with Billy Van Zandt" on November 16th. (LINCROFT, NJ) -- On Saturday November 16, 2024, the Brookdale Performing Arts Center will present "An Evening with Billy Van Zandt," as the internationally known playwright/actor launches his new memoir Because It's Funny (the Plays of Billy Van Zandt & Jane Milmore) – a sequel of sorts to his best-selling book Get in the Car, Jane (Adventures in the TV Wasteland).

Bergen County Players to Host Special Post-Show Talkback with SAG Award winner Lea DeLaria. (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP) will host a special post-show talkback with actor, comedian, jazz musician, and author Lea DeLaria, on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Little Firehouse Theatre. DeLaria will answer audience questions on her characterization of POTUS' zany sister, Bernadette. She'll also update viewers on the unique trajectory of her career, as well as how being openly gay has shaped it.

Thursday, November 14 - Garden State Film Festival presents An Evening with Armand Assante. ​​​​​​​(CRANFORD, NJ) -- Get ready for a night to remember on Thursday, November 14, 2024, as the Garden State Film Festival invites film enthusiasts and philanthropists alike to an exclusive fundraising event at The Cranford Theater.
