(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- ATTENTION CAMPERS! The ShowRoom Cinema has announced its "Summer Camp" film series, a celebration of some of the campiest and kitchiest films of all time. Join them for three nights of over-the-top performances, outrageous plots, and unforgettable moments. The lineup includes screenings of Supergirl, Death Becomes Her, and Can't Stop the Music.

August 13th kicks off with a 40th Anniversary Screening of Supergirl (1984). This cult classic stars Helen Slater as Supergirl, who journeys to Earth to recover a powerful artifact and faces off against a truly over-the-top Faye Dunaway, who delivers a scene-stealing performance as the malevolent sorceress, Selena.
On August 20th, don't miss the dark comedy classic, Death Becomes Her (1992). Starring Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, and Bruce Willis, this film tells the story of two rival women who discover an elixir that grants eternal youth, leading to hilarious and catastrophic results.
The series culminates on August 27th with "the musical event of the 80s, Can't Stop the Music (1980)! Produced by Allan Carr as his follow-up to Grease, this film is a campy, exuberant celebration of the rise of the Village People, filled with outrageous musical numbers and kitschy fun. The screening will include a very special introduction by Felipe Rose of the Classic Village People in full regalia!
