CDC Theatre Seeks Directors for 2024-25 Season

(CRANFORD, NJ) -- CDC Theatre has announced its 2024-25 season and is accepting submissions from potential directors.  The season includes their annual Hispanic Play Festival (June 2024), Angels in America (October 2024), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (December 2024), Jesus Christ Superstar (February 2025), and Legally Blonde, the Musical (May 2025). Submissions must be received by email or by physical mail by March 11, 2024.

Directors submitting for the first time as a director to CDC Theatre are asked to include a directorial résumé, biography of your theatrical background or links to a portfolio. The Selection Committee reserves the right to require and verify additional directorial qualifications on a case-by-case basis.

Directors under consideration will be asked to meet with the Planning Committee to discuss your vision, your process collaborating with actors and designers, and why you feel you are good fit for this production at CDC Theatre.

CDC Theatre is an all-volunteer Non-Profit Community theater that operates as an independent 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization. All Directors are provided a stipend.

The Cranford Dramatic Club is a non profit all volunteer organization whose purpose is to produce and present plays of merit; develop, by discussion and active participation, the talents of members in all phases of dramatic work, e.g., directing, acting, staging, etc.; and stimulate community interest in amateur theater.

New Jersey Performing Arts High School Makes History

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County Vocational Technical School's (OCVTS) Grunin Performing Arts Academy (GPAA) is thrilled to announce that its fall drama production, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, has been selected to perform at the International Thespian Festival, the world's largest celebration of high school theatre. This prestigious event will take place at Indiana University Bloomington from June 22-27, 2025.

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater will present Foibles and Fables: Songs of Magic and Memory!, a concert of original and Broadway songs performed by the Princeton Playhouse Ensembles led by Solon Snider Sway and featuring guest Broadway and Grammy performers and musicians. Directed by faculty member Aaron Landsman and cosponsored by the Department of Music, the concert is on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theatre Center, 91 University Place on the Princeton campus. Showtime is 7:00pm.
