(BORDENTOWN, NJ) -- The Addams Family, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, will be presented on February 23rd at 7:30pm and February 24th at 2:00pm & 7:30pm at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. This musical, featuring the iconic characters created by Charles Addams, will be performed by the award-winning theatre students of Bordentown Regional High School.
They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious, and spooky—and now they are the stars of a hilariously ghoulish musical! The Addams Family is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they’ve managed to avoid for generations: change.
The Bordentown Regional High School cast stars students Aidan Bramley as Gomez, Brynn Bowyer as Morticia, Atlas Planas-Borgstrom as Wednesday, Adam Pollard as Fester, Luke Williams as Lucas, Sika Brenya as Grandma, Kavya Gandhi as Pugsley,Rylie Evans as Alice, Adam Palmer as Mal, and Ryan Haje as Lurch. Leah Eisele, Nina Guidotti, Genevieve Schenone, and Kayla Stubenazy-Rose are featured as Dancestors, and the Addams Ancestors are played by Candise Davis, Angela Deleso, Austin Faison-West, Aidan Gould, Madelyn Jones, Alicia Kitner, Wren Magby, Alex Martucci, and Rylan Phillips.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. Tickets are available for purchase online and will also be sold at the door.
Bordentown Regional High School’s theatre program was awarded the prestigious Greater Philadelphia Cappie Award for Outstanding Musical for their 2012 production of Legally Blonde. For more than a decade, the Greater Philadelphia Cappie Awards have honored BRHS Theatre performances with sixty-seven nominations and seventeen awards. The theatrical performances of BRHS have also been honored with awards and nominations from the New Jersey State Thespian Festival and the New Jersey Theatre Night Awards. Bordentown Regional High School is home to International Thespian Society Troupe 6803.
The Bordentown Performing Arts Center is attached to Bordentown Regional High School, and is located at 318 Ward Avenue in Bordentown, NJ.
