(ROBBINSVILLE, NJ) -- Members of Bordentown Regional High School International Thespian Society Troupe 6803 spent this past weekend acting, singing, and dancing their way through the 2023 New Jersey State Thespian Festival, held January 7-8th at Robbinsville High School.
Seniors Ryan Kaufman and Olivia McGlone were awarded Superior Medals in the Acting Duet category with a nearly perfect score. In addition, their scene was selected as one of only four 2023 Closing Ceremony Showcase Performances, chosen from over six hundred performances seen by judges throughout the weekend. Ryan and Olivia are the first Bordentown Regional High School students to be chosen for this honor.
Senior Anna Madden and junior Aidan Bramley were awarded high scores for their Musical Theatre solo performances, as was the comedic Acting Duet scene presented by Aidan and senior Defnenur Gumus.

BRHS Theatre was proud to be presented with an award by the New Jersey Thespians for the most donations collected per troupe member for their 2022 Trick Or Treat So Kids Can Eat Food Drive. Their collection total of 1,678 pounds of donations was the second largest in the state.
Sika Brenya, Sal Carr, Ray Hollopeter, and Jo Russo joined Aidan, Defnenur, Ryan, Olivia and Anna in representing Bordentown at the annual gathering of high school theatre students. These students competed, performed, and participated in theatre workshops with hundreds of International Thespian Society members from throughout the state.
