The Growing Stage Announces 2024-2025 Main Stage Season - "Pure Imagination"
 

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey is thrilled to present their 43rd Season, "Pure Imagination." In addition to a full slate of shows, they have educational programming for young people grades Pre-K through High School and special events announced throughout the season.

Registration is Open for NJPAC's Jazz for Teens 2024-25 Education Program
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), the state's anchor cultural institution, celebrates 27 years of offering thousands of high schoolers from Newark and beyond music lessons and performance experiences through its popular Jazz for Teens program. One of the first of many arts education institutions at NJPAC, it has grown into a nationally recognized and revered program producing stellar alumni such as MacArthur "Genius" Fellow Tyshawn Sorey. The 2024-25 school year is about to begin and is now accepting students for both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters. Registration is now open and closes September 23.

 



Perkins Center Announces Friday Night House Concert Lineup
 

(MOORESTOWN, NJ) -- Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown has announced the lineup for this year's House Concert series of acoustic performances featuring folk, roots music, and jazz with an international flavor. From September 2024 to April 2025, Perkins House Concerts will bring celebrated folk, jazz, and world music artists from near and far to South Jersey. This series takes place in Perkins’ historic Tudor mansion in Moorestown.

 



Bachman-Turner Overdrive featuring Randy Bachman to Perform Shows in Atlantic City and Carteret
 

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Bachman-Turner Overdrive featuring Randy Bachman has a couple of shows in the area coming up. The first is Friday, September 13, 2024 at Music Box at the Borgata in Atlantic City. On Tuesday, September 17th the band returns to Jersey for a show at the Carteret Performing Arts and Events Center. They will also perform on Friday, September 20th at St. George Theatre in Staten Island, NY.

Newark's Mayor Baraka to Host '24 Hrs of Peace' on August 23-24
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka will host the Annual 24 Hrs of Peace event, starting Friday, August 23, 2024 at 6:00pm, and continuing to Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 6:00pm in the West Ward at South 10th Street and Central Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.

(PRINCETON, NJ) — Get ready for an evening of high energy Scottish folk-rock as The Princeton Folk Music Society presents The Tannahill Weavers on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Christ Congregation Church in Princeton. The band features a unique combination of traditional melodies, driving rhythmic accompaniment, and rich three- part vocal harmonies that make their performances unforgettable. They are noted for being the first Scottish folk group to incorporate an instrument long thought to be too loud to play nicely with other traditional folk instruments: the highland pipes.
