Yessongs: The Concert Will Recreate 1972 Tour at Newton Theatre

originally published: 08/29/2017

(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents YESSONGS: THE CONCERT on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 8:00pm (rescheduled from November 11). Re-creating the iconic Yes tour of 1972, the night stars five musicians who have played with the likes of Brian May, Lou Gramm, Peter Criss, Trooper, and Julian Lennon, and have now diligently recreated this astonishing performance down to the last detail. With the skills and virtuosity of each member, the band reproduces with perfection even the most elaborate songs in a stunning audio and visual masterpiece.

The show stars Phil Naro (Jon Anderson), Matt Riddle (Rik Wakeman), John Kastelic (Steve Howe), Mark Annal (Alan White) and Mark Mathews (Chris Squire). Collectively these five musicians have performed on over 100 albums and have toured the world extensively. It is truly an unforgettable concert for audience members of all ages.

Considered pioneers of the progressive rock genre and regarded by fans as living legends Yes have etched their unique sound and mystical lyrics into international music charts for over 40 years, selling more than 30 million albums worldwide.

Renowned for their remarkable live performances and symphonic stage dynamism, YES produced the seminal audio and visual experience YES SONGS in 1972, capturing the supergroup at the height of their success. The remarkable double album of the same name was certified gold in 1973 and platinum in 1998 by the recording industry association of America.

YESSONGS will bring the band and their classic tour alive on The Newton Theatre stage.  Tickets range from $22.00 to $37.00 and may be purchased by visiting www.TheNewtonTheatre.com or contacting the Box Office at 973-940-NEWT. The historic Newton Theatre is located at 234 Spring Street in Newton, NJ.
