Range Life is the passion project of seasoned New Jersey musician Mike Chiarappa. The upcoming collection of lo-fi tracks that comprise his first EP as a solo artist were all performed, mixed, and written by Mike in his bedroom. His latest single “I Don’t Wanna Be Here Anymore” is now available on all streaming services.
"'I Don’t Wanna Be Here Anymore' is written from the perspective of a senior citizen," explained Chiarappa. "When you reach a certain age it’s inevitable that you can’t do much anymore. So, writing this definitely puts things into perspective; being younger and realizing all you can do and change."
On social media he posted, "Wrote my own record last year and finally got around to recording it during quarantine. Super stoked on how the songs came out!! I had no idea how to record 7 months ago. So the fact that I made the quality not sound like shit is a huge accomplishment. Tried to keep the record as human as possible with little to no editing. Recorded a lot of instruments to my tape machine because tape machines are fucking dope."
He adds, "Thanks to my brother for teaching me the basics of recording. If anybody wants a listen, go follow @rangelife on Instagram and Facebook."
