The Central Jersey band Loyalty To Me has released a music video for "The Rest" - a video directed, shot, and edited by James Perry with audio recorded and mixed by Brett Romnes and mastered by Mike Kalajian. The video was filmed on location at The Barber Shop Studios (Hopatcong, NJ) & Boontunes (Boonton, NJ).
"We severely miss playing shows, and sadly have no idea when that will be a possibility again," the band wrote on its Facebook Page. "In the wake of this, we thought it would be fun to release our music video for The Rest, which is comprised of live footage, as well as footage of us recording in the studio. Scan the crowd, you might be in the video!"
Loyalty To Me (Will Patrick Jackson, Devin McGuire, James Conrad, Ryan Keller, and Kevin Castro) released their first single, Radio Off, in December 2018. Just one month later, the Central Jersey rockers solidified a permanent five-piece lineup and spent the remainder of the year gaining traction in their local scene. Three subsequent singles were released over the course of 2019, a busy year that saw the band opening for the likes of Trash Boat, Young Culture, Oh, Weatherly, Keep Flying, and Rarity, as well as doing some light touring and recording a debut EP at The Barber Shop Studios (Hopatcong, NJ).
Set for release in late Spring 2020, the five-song project boasts memorable tunes that straddle the line between 2000s emo angst and modern pop sensibilities. Lyrical cohesion, harmonic intricacy, and careful use of a four-vocalist rotation are all cornerstones of the EP, which was recorded and mixed by Brett Romnes (The Movielife) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (Rogue Planet Mastering). The EP cycle has been ushered in by its lead single Rewrites, released on March 27th, 2020, followed by second single The Rest, released on April 24th, 2020.
