(OAKLAND, NJ) -- A pandemic doesn't stop athletics, and it doesn't stop the arts at Indian Hills High School in Oakland. The Indian Hills Theater Company built a set, rehearsed, and then performed live to tape over three days. The result is three performances of Charlotte's Web, which will be livestreamed across the school website November 20-21.
The cast & crew were committed to their craft. Theater provides a sense of normalcy for many students in the same way sports does. The students worked diligently, safely, and enthusiastically to make this show happen while providing an escape from the challenges of hybrid and remote education. Credit goes out to both the cast and crew behind this production. The heads of tech and the lighting tech are seniors, as are several cast members, so it is nice that they are able to have productions even in a school year as out of the ordinary as this one.
Performances take place Friday, November 20 at 7:00pm; Saturday, November 21 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. All performances can be seen on the Indian Hills High School website.
