In 2009, BMI/Grammy member Gar Francis together with musicologist Monique Grimme as co-producer launched successfully Bongo Boy Rock n' Roll TV, a television show series that spotlights independent music videos, interviews, news and advice. The halfhour, which goes into its fourth year, is filling a void with their new format that MTV and VH1 once dominated.
BBTV has set out to refresh and remake the music television experience by making it current and relevant to today's media savvy audience. After 3 years, the show has developed a substantial television and online audience. BBTV has grown to a distribution on 16 TV channels across towns in the USA with more than 2.5 million cable subscribers and broadcast times of over 105 per episode.
Starting with their May's episode, the new formatted TV show series focus on music that orientates in educating the viewers about upcoming indie artists and their quest to greater success.
