American Repertory Ballet Presents ‘Nutcracker’ at State Theatre

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ)—American Repertory Ballet will conclude its Nutcracker season in New Jersey at the State Theatre in New Brunswick. A holiday tradition for more than 50 years, American Repertory Ballet’s Nutcracker is one of the longest, continuously running Nutcracker productions in the nation. The show will run in New Brunswick Friday, December 16 through Sunday, December 18.  The public performances at State Theatre will feature a live orchestra under the direction of Maestro Michael Pratt and the Princeton Girlchoir, conducted by Fred Meads. Tickets are currently available and range from $35-$75.

The School Time Matinee of Nutcracker at State Theatre on Friday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. is sold out, but educators are encouraged to bring their students to see this festive production at the South Orange Performing Arts Center’s School Time Matinees.

State Theatre is located at 15 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick, NJ.

December 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. (School Time Matinee) and 7:30pm

December 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

December 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Chris Collier, Executive Director of the Princeton Garden Theatre, and Michael Pratt, Conductor of the Princeton University Orchestra, unravel the enduring legacy and myth of Mozart by watching and discussing excerpts of the 1984 Academy Award-winning movie Amadeus. Their conversation anticipates the Garden Theatre's showing of the restored theatrical cut of the film the following evening, Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 7:00pm.
