Joshua Lance's “Equine, Faces & Places” Is On Display at Bank of Princeton Art Gallery

originally published: 12/09/2021

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Joshua Lance's latest solo exhibition, “Equine, Faces & Places” is on display at the Bank of Princeton Art Gallery (10 Bridge Street) in Lambertville from December 8 - January 31, 2022.  Josh will present his oil paintings of Equine, portraits and landscapes locally and internationally.

Joshua is known as a street painter in the Lambertville/New Hope area where he sets up his french easel in different parts of town and paints on location.  He sells his work straight from his easel and basket full of small paintings of local scenes.  He not only sells his art straight from the source of his muse, he builds relationships with people who enjoys his impressionist work.  Josh has used this method to paint in other places he’s lived and work, such as Taiwan, Portugal, Italy and the Lambertville area.

Joshua Lance explained how he came up with the show idea, “I wanted to show my progression as an artist and person since returning from my travels abroad in 2018. The last few years back in Lambertville has been extraordinary, with the pandemic, flooding and different personal events that has shaped my life for the better.  All the paintings in this show are among the best of my career.  Some are going far back to my life in Taiwan and New Mexico.  I’m embracing my different cultural influences through art.  They each tell a story with plenty of heart and soul.”

New Jersey Stage featured the artist in May, 2019.

Joshua Lance has been a professional painter for over twenty five years and has exhibited internationally.  He is currently self-represented by The Art Gallery & More in New Hope, does portrait commissions and sells plain air work on location.
