RVCC Student Theatre presents "Duets: Here, There, Everywhere!"

originally published: 11/02/2021

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts and Design Department will present a student theatre production of Duets: Here, There, Everywhere!, November 17-20, with nightly performances at 7:00pm. The event, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. Masks are required in all RVCC facilities.

The student studio production features seven varied and charming duet scenes that are unified by their simple settings. The stories include an overwhelmed sister rescuing her baby brother out of state at 2 a.m.; a young man losing his best friend to a Mermaid—and loneliness; a sports nerd making one unforgettable date proposal; and a rainy, late-night bus stop encounter bringing new perspective.

The cast of 11 includes Omar Ahmed (Dunellen); Rich Frohman (Flemington); Alyssa Graf (Hillsborough); Kathy McClain (Hillsborough); Brad Moore (Branchburg); Arturo Parra (Plainfield); John Pizzigoni (Green Brook) Gabriele Romeo (Flemington); Madeline Shallop (Bound Brook); Carolina Silva (North Plainfield); and Ashley Tirado (Alpha).

Direction is by Danielle Barry (Bridgewater); stage management, properties and costume coordination is by Alex Ridder (Flemington); crew includes Curtis Glover (Franklin); and technical design/direction is by Kenny Savoy (Piscataway) and Dave Porter (Clinton Township).

The performance is approximately one hour in length with no intermission. The production, which includes some mature content and language, is appropriate for audiences ages 15 and older.  For additional information, contact RVCC’s Arts & Design department at 908-218-8876 or visit https://www.raritanval.edu/arts.
