Jack Swagger (singer, guitarist of Minneapolis alternative rock band The Soviet Machines) has released his debut solo album on DC-Jam Records. The self-titled LP was recorded at Treespeak Studios in Minneapolis by Xander Moser, and mastered by legendary Seattle Producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden) the record features the most diverse batch of songs in Swaggers’ catalog to date. The tracks range from acoustic-based soundscapes to all-out rock, and many layers in between.
Swagger’s band, The Soviet Machines are finalists for the new upcoming NBC show ‘American Songwriter Contest’ which is slated to air in 2022.
“Animal is a reflection of how no matter what, you can always fall in love with rock and roll. The song and video reflect everything good about the history of rock and everyone who shaped it,” said Jack Swagger.
The Soviet Machines' Jack Endino-produced, self-titled debut album was released earlier this year to widespread acclaim, with Consequence writing, "The Soviet Machines’ vintage power trio approach is well suited for Endino, who captured many of the Seattle grunge scene’s legendary guitar bands. “Get Your Kicks” (is) an upbeat rocker with solid tone — mostly recorded live without overdubs."
