(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Pilsener Haus & Biergarten will host its annual celebration of Oktoberfest, beginning October 1st and will feature events and celebrations throughout the entire month. The celebration begins with a “keg tapping” on Friday, October 1 at 6:00pm, followed by an outdoor music festival that will run from October 1-3 on Grand Street, between 15th and 16th Streets.
The music festival hours are: Friday, October 1st from 6:00pm to 10:00pm; Saturday, October 2nd from 11:00am to 10:00pm; and Sunday, October 3rd from 11:00am to 7:00pm. Full schedule is listed below.
In addition to the music festival, the entire 10,000 square foot Biergarten will be featuring new Fall menu items, live music and sports and a festive environment. In traditional fashion, there will be live Polka on Friday, October 8 from Bud Maltin and Metropolitan Music, and Friday, October 15 with Fritz’s Polka Band. “We’re excited to celebrate our biggest month with an outdoor concert festival for people of all ages,” said Vince Crysler, CEO of Pilsener Haus & Biergarten. “We’re a biergarten, so the entire month will be festive, and there will be plenty of everything: food, drinks, live music and more. We’ll be rolling out some exciting new menu items that embrace the Oktoberfest tradition, along with some delicious new Fall cocktails, and of course, plenty of beer, including some special brews designed specifically for Oktoberfest.”
Oktoberfest is a 200-year-old Bavarian traditional festival of food and drink.
Pilsener Haus & Biergarten will be following all COVID-19 safety regulations during the outdoor festival. In order to comply with local guidelines, all guests will be required to show proof of vaccination to gain entrance to the live concert area. Parties will be socially distanced at least six feet apart, and all staff and servers will be wearing masks.

Pilsener Haus & Biergarten, located at 1422 Grand Street, is Hoboken’s first and only classic beer hall and features large open spaces spread out over more than 10,000 square feet of space filled with communal tables and a long bar along the wall in the main hall. More than 50 beers from around the world including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic and Germany as well as many small-batch American brewers are featured for all kinds of beer preferences. Ales, porters, stouts and of course pilseners are accompanied by a menu of modern cocktails and wine for non-beer drinkers who still want to enjoy the festive environment. A full menu of brasserie-style food is available and of course includes some beer hall staples including mussels, oversized pretzels, pickle jars, pierogies and various versions of smoked sausages. The restaurant presents live music on weekend evenings, and a full brunch selection on weekend days. Pilsener Haus & Biergarten also features Kolo Klub, the upstairs private event space, for weddings, gatherings, gallery showings and more.
