Laser shows are offered every Friday at 7:00pm and every Saturday at 7:30pm. Choose the music of Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Bon Jovi and others while watching a dazzling laser light show. LaserFEST returns with a special decade-themed celebration on Saturday, Sept. 4. Love the ’70s, ’80s or ’90s? The Planetarium has a show for you. Now through July 31, buy a two-show LaserFEST package and save $2.
Each week, Novins Planetarium offers educational films on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and multiple times on Saturdays. One of this month’s highlights is a new movie: Big Astronomy. This film shares the story of the people and places making big astronomy and big science happen. This planetarium show takes visitors to the extreme sites where astronomy happens in the most extreme environments and with some of the most interesting people. The first presentation of Big Astronomy is Wednesday, August 18 at 2:00pm.
Every Saturday, the Novins space experts lead kid-friendly Stars in My Backyard at 12:00pm. Sky Talk for adults, Wonders of the Seasonal Sky, is shown most Saturdays at 6:00pm.
Please note: The Novins Planetarium asks attendees to wear masks while moving about the lobby. Those who are fully vaccinated may remove their masks once seated. Capacity for shows is increasing; audience members are asked to leave an empty space between their party and others, it is possible someone may purchase the adjacent seat.
