(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County Library will feature Elizabeth Lim, creator of the bestselling “The Blood of the Stars” duology, in its ongoing “Dive Into YA: It’s Not Just for Teens” virtual author chats on Thursday, July 22 at 6:00pm. The discussion series aims to show how real issues, vivid writing, diverse characters and imaginative concepts propel Young Adult literature beyond traditional age categories.
The New York-based writer’s newest novel, Six Crimson Cranes, will be published this month as the first half of a new duology. Her many notable works include Spin the Moon, Unravel the Dusk, So This Is Love, and Reflection.
Elizabeth Lim’s passion for writing began at age 10 with fanfics for Sailor Moon, Sweet Valley and Star Wars. She later composed music for films and video games before returning to literature.
The series is presented in partnership with Booktowne, Manasquan, NJ. Attendees will receive a 10% discount for Booktowne that can be used through their website.
