(GALLOWAY, NJ) -- Graffiti Dog Productions puts on monthly House Concerts from June through October, featuring acts promoting their original recordings. On Sunday, September 15 at 4:00pm, they will present Debra Devi at 433 South Nectar Ave, Galloway NJ. There isn't a cover, but a $10-$20 donation is suggested donation.
Debra Devi’s growing acclaim as "one of the most remarkable guitarists on the East Coast." (Good Times) has led to recording with Gov’t Mule bassist Jorgen Carlsson, opening for artists Ana Popovic, Bruce Katz and Marshall Crenshaw, and festival dates from Memphis to Montana.
"Vocally Devi is a dead ringer for Sheryl Crow," says Urban Politico, "and her music radiates infectious joy, reminding us of The Black Crowes, Prince, and Little Feat.
The Jersey Journal writes: "Devi stands out as a true triple threat: a gifted songwriter, a powerful singer and an outstanding guitarist grounded in blues/rock tradition."
Look for Debra's new EP this fall with Jorgen Carlsson (Gov't Mule) on bass and Rob Clores (Jesse Malin Band) on keys, mixed by Grammy-winning producer Sylvia Massy.
“I’ve always wanted to work with Sylvia, so I’m thrilled she jumped on this project,” Devi says, adding, “Jorgen’s playing is out of this world, and these new tunes feature some intense jamming captured live in the studio.”
Devi is also the author of the popular blues glossary The Language of the Blues: From Alcorub to Zuzu (foreword by Dr. John). She will have copies on hand to sign.
