Jesse Leach and Adam Dutkiewicz to Introduce New Killswitch Engage Album Track-by-Track On WSOU on August 12

originally published: 08/11/2019

(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Vocalist Jesse Leach and guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz from the band Killswitch Engage will launch the Massachusetts metalcore stalwarts’ latest album with a special track-by-track introduction of all the songs on WSOU 89.5 FM the week before the album is released.  Beginning Monday, August 12 at 6:00am and continuing throughout the top of each hour for the entire week, Leach and Dutkiewicz will introduce a different song from the new album “Atonement,” offering insights on each track.  This track-by-track is exclusive to WSOU, the student-run radio station at Seton Hall University.

“Killswitch Engage is one of our most popular bands and we know our listeners can’t wait to hear the new album,” said Nick Polis, WSOU Music Director.  “That’s why we worked with Jesse and Adam to give our audience an audio sneak peek at the album before it drops on August 16th.  This is a real treat for the band’s fans and you can only get it on WSOU.”

Killswitch Engage burst onto the heavy metal music scene in 2000.  The band is credited for pioneering a fusion of east coast hardcore, European thrash guitar, masterful lyricism, and high-energy live performances.  “Atonement,” which will be released on August 16 by Metal Blade Records, is the group’s eighth album.

When asked in a recent WSOU interview about the experience of working with their new record label, Metal Blade Records, Dutkiewicz said, “It's nice to be with people who are friends. It's amazing, conversations are easy, I have Brian's number in my phone, and if I need anything I can just call him.”

WSOU’s exclusive content with Killswitch Engage airs at the top of every hour from 6:00am Monday, August 12 to midnight on Friday, August 16.  The station can be heard over the air in New York City and northern New Jersey on 89.5 FM and streamed anywhere via https://tinyurl.com/wsoufm.
