(FREEHOLD, NJ) -- Center Players Dessert Theater hosts New Jersey comedy icon “Uncle” Floyd Vivino on Saturday, June 9th at Center Playhouse, 35 South St, in downtown Freehold, NJ. He will perform shows at 2:00pm and 8:00pm.
Uncle Floyd is best know for his television show “The Uncle Floyd Show” which became a cult favorite of David Bowie who wrote the song “Slip Away” as a tribute to the show. Bowie claimed to have heard of the show through John Lennon. Uncle Floyd has appeared in numerous television shows as well as movies throughout his long career, and appears regularly at events throughout the tri-state area.
The family-friendly show will feature Uncle Floyd singing classic songs from his unique songbook and entertaining the crowd with his musings. Opening the show will be Manalapan humorist Randi Lupo, who performs at comedy clubs in New York and New Jersey Her one woman show, “Sometimes I'm Ok” is currently being presented to sold-out crowds.

Center Players will round out its successful 2017-18 season with a production of Dinner with Friends, written by Donald Marguiles and directed by Leslie Hochman, running July 27th-August 26th.
