(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Exit 82 Theatre Company will be opening the Exit 82 Studio Theater at 73 Main Street in downtown Toms River this summer. The Exit 82 Studio Theater will be an intimate, immersive theater complete with concessions, live music, and quality entertainment.
This theater will enhance the revitalization efforts in Toms River, opening right next to the upcoming Hops on Main Brewery in the heart of downtown and The Toms River Business Improvement District welcomes the opening. TRBID President, Alizar Nicholas Zorojew, commented, “As the Business Improvement District strives to enhance the environment for the arts to succeed, organizations like Exit 82 are seizing the opportunity. The theater group's intention to bring an immersive theater experience to downtown this summer is something that will be a game changer for this area. High quality entertainment is an integral thread to the cultural fabric this town needs to create. With a lack of local options for residents to enjoy, they will typically head out of town to find this level of performance art...that all changes this summer when Exit 82 brings their production of The Drowsy Chaperone to the upstairs space on the iconic corner of Main and Washington Street in Downtown Toms River.”
Exit 82 Studio Theatre’s season will open with the musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone playing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from July 6th through July 29th, 2018. Following The Drowsy Chaperone, Exit 82 will produce the campy horror favorite, Little Shop of Horrors this fall. In addition to musicals, the Exit 82 Studio Theater will be home to many performance and entertainment opportunities including a “Monthly Musical” series, cabarets, and reviews.
