NJTV Announces New In Your Neighborhood Initiative Stops in 2018

originally published: 04/05/2018

(NEWARK, NJ) -- NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, announced four new locations to continue its In Your Neighborhood initiative in 2018.  A powerful combination of news, special programming and community engagement events, NJTV will again use its on-air and digital platforms and personnel to showcase some of the Garden State's most dynamic places this year, shining a spotlight on the people, cultural fabric and issues that make those areas tick and the history that grounds them.  NJTV's first stop for 2018: Montclair on Thursday, May 3rd, during one of that town's biggest events: the Montclair Film Festival.

"NJTV's In Your Neighborhood initiative spotlights the history and happenings that make each location special, striving to ignite community discussion, and sharing these neighborhoods with the rest of the state," said NJTV General Manager John Servidio.  "We look forward to another year of visiting new towns across New Jersey and using all of NJTV's platforms - from broadcast and online to special events - to explore topics like education, infrastructure, politics, commerce, health, arts, culture and more in each location."

In Your Neighborhood: Montclair kicks off with a special live early edition of the network's newscast, NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams at 5:30pm featuring headlining news and scheduled interviews with local guests, followed by a live hour-long program at 6pm, NJTV In Your Neighborhood Special, both broadcast from Raymond's restaurant on Church Street. The evening's line-up will include Montclair-centric episodes of One-on-One with Steve Adubato, State of the Arts and more:
