Kathy Troccoli To Perform In Ocean Grove

originally published: 08/07/2017

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Christian-themed Saturday night family entertainment continues in Ocean Grove when the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (OGCMA) presents the beautiful, inspiring, multi-talented Kathy Troccoli - one of Christian Rock’s most seasoned and respected artists. She will bring her soulful voice and original songs to OGCMA’s Great Auditorium on Saturday, August 26th at 7:30pm.

Kathy Troccoli has come a long way since her musical debut. In 1982, the founders of Reunion Records established their record label specifically to launch the musical career of this Italian girl from Long Island, New York. That initial project included her first radio hit “Stubborn Love,” propelling a career that has spanned over 30 years. Whether belting out a big band tune, crooning her velvet voice on a jazz standard or tenderly singing a hymn, her talent is unique, powerful and filled with warmth. Her penetrating songs, arresting transparency, candid personal reflections, and engaging humor have brought her a great fan-base – for her music as well as her books, public speaking events, and now a new line of inspirational jewelry.

Indeed, Kathy has become her own brand and she is quite the adventurer. From serving on the mission fields of Africa, India and Central America, to performing before millions, to hosting 16 years of rejuvenating and relaxing cruises, Kathy enjoys all aspects of using her gifts to entertain as well as embolden the spirit. In addition to all the activity already mentioned, Kathy is currently hosting her own events called Comfort by Candlelight® – where she not only sings, but also shares with heartfelt encouragement.  She bears scars that have produced a powerful and insightful communicator. She has also moved into the art world with Life-Giving Art™: a combination of inspiring sentiments with masterful photography.

Kathy Troccoli’s numerous accolades include 24 recordings, 18 number-one radio hits, 19 Dove Award nominations, 2 Dove Awards, and 3 Grammy nominations. Her newest CD, Better Days was fully produced and co-written by Kathy – a gifted songwriter as well as author. In addition to her success in Christian music she has made quite an impact in the mainstream arena as well, scoring a #1 hit with “Everything Changes” as well as a Top 10 single with The Beach Boys, “I Can Hear Music.”

Says Kathy of her life and always-evolving work: “I am doing exactly what I believe I was created to do.” And what is that? “To encourage, motivate, and offer hope. What a privilege!”
