(TRENTON, NJ) -- How well do you know New Jersey's capitol city? Trenton is the second stop for NJTV In Your Neighborhood - an impactful combination of news, special programming and community engagement events, utilizing on-air and digital platforms and special events to showcase some of the Garden State's most dynamic places. Viewers can tune in for a full evening of live and special local programming dedicated to Trenton on Thursday, June 29, including a live broadcast from Arm & Hammer Park starting at 5:30pm.
"Trenton is a great choice for our next In Your Neighborhood visit, as it's not just the state capitol, but was once the national capitol, and today is a vibrant community," said NJTV General Manager John Servidio. "We look forward to building audience engagement, deepening viewer involvement, establishing new collaborations and creating informed programming that will further position NJTV as a trusted resource for the state."
NJTV In Your Neighborhood: Trenton kicks off with a special live early edition of the network's newscast, NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams, at 5:30pm followed by a live hour-long program at 6pm, NJTV In Your Neighborhood Special, both broadcast from Trenton's Arm & Hammer Park. The evening's Trenton-centric line-up will include special editions of On the Record with Michael Aron and One-on-One with Steve Adubato, plus Trenton-themed episodes of State of the Arts, Driving Jersey and more. The NJTV In Your Neighborhood Special will encore at 10pm that evening. The Special will also be live streamed and available live on Facebook.
In Your Neighborhood is a state-wide broadcast and community engagement initiative that spotlights issues impacting communities throughout New Jersey. Its goal is to provide the entire state with an in-depth look at each city through the many perspectives of those who live, work and visit there. NJTV will explore topics of education, infrastructure, politics, commerce, health, arts, culture and more in each location. Each "neighborhood" visit slated for this year combine live program broadcast and stream the entire prime-time programming line-up will be dedicated to that city. The first stop in the series was Camden on Thursday, March 23rd. Watch that special here.
To keep the conversation going, a follow-up community event is being planned for later in the summer, where the network's engagement team will commune groups of residents, thought leaders and stakeholders to discuss issues affecting Trenton.

"And like a good neighbor, we are committed to the cities we visit and will assure NJTV's presence there extends far beyond the live broadcast date."
