Paper Mill Playhouse Announces the 2016-2017 Cast of Its Broadway Show Choir

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for its award-winning Broadway Show Choir. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is a tuition-free, audition-based, exhibition show choir that stems from Paper Mill Playhouse’s extensive Arts Education and Outreach programs.  The choir consists of 80 singer/dancers between the ages of 15 and 22. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is sponsored by Overlook Medical Center/Atlantic Healthcare. 

The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir act as ambassadors for Paper Mill Playhouse with an array of performance opportunities throughout the community and beyond.  Over the last four seasons, the Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir has performed for more than 350,000 people at prestigious venues including: Lincoln Center, Sun Arena in Trenton, Mayo Center in Morristown, Bergen PAC in Englewood, Paper Mill Playhouse, Kean University in Union, and SOPAC in South Orange.  The choir was featured on tour with New Jersey Ballet’s, Ballet on Broadway program and in Vocal Ovation: A Show Choir Extravaganza

Students selected to be part of this talented group will have the opportunity to fine tune their craft with FREE, intensive instruction.  The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir runs from October to June and rehearses on Sunday evenings at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Millburn. The show choir is currently accepting bookings for April, May and June. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is led by a professional staff of artists including: Shayne Austin Miller (Director), Matt Lowy (Music Director), Charles Santoro (Associate Music Director), Anthony Fania (Dance Director) and  Peter Newes (Company Manager).
